Where Every Athlete Belongs.
Supporting Champions of Every Ability
Project Warm Welcome is a student-led initiative dedicated to supporting the Eanes ISD Special Olympics program. Through community fundraisers and equipment drives, we help ensure athletes have the resources they need to compete, train, and thrive.
Every athlete deserves the chance to play, grow, and feel celebrated.
Special Olympics athletes are some of the most determined, joyful competitors you'll ever meet. Project Warm Welcome exists to support them by raising funds and gathering donated equipment that helps make their athletic programs possible.
Through community events and fundraising initiatives, we work to ensure that Special Olympics athletes in Eanes ISD have access to the equipment and support they need to compete with confidence.
Because when athletes are supported, they can focus on what matters most — playing the sport they love.
Our Mission
Funds and donations raised through Project Warm Welcome help support Special Olympics athletes by providing:
• Sports equipment and gear
• Training tools and practice equipment
• Uniforms and team supplies
• Travel and participation costs for competitions
• Program support for local Special Olympics teams
Our goal is simple: to remove barriers so every athlete can participate fully.
What We Support
Landon is a student-athlete at Westlake High School and an active participant in the Unified Champion Schools initiative, which promotes inclusion through sports, youth leadership, and school-wide engagement.
Through the program, students with and without intellectual disabilities train and compete together in sports such as basketball, track, tennis, bocce ball, and swimming—building friendships, confidence, and a stronger sense of community along the way.
Over the past several years, Landon has volunteered at local events with Special Olympics Texas, where he witnessed firsthand the determination, joy, and resilience of the athletes. Inspired by those experiences, he recognized a gap in the resources available to support these programs.
That realization led him to create Project Warm Welcome, a community initiative focused on hosting fundraisers and gathering donated equipment to help ensure Special Olympics athletes have the tools and support they need to train, compete, and thrive.
For Landon, the mission is simple: when a community shows up for its athletes, everyone wins.
